That gives you high watt-density, which means the lamp hits your target temperature almost instantly.

The guts and the build

At the heart of it is a carbon fiber heating element, tucked inside a quartz tube. Carbon fiber gives us low thermal mass and rock-solid resistance stability. In plain terms: it responds fast, and it keeps giving the same output, over and over. The quartz envelope does two important jobs: it lets infrared energy pass through efficiently, and it handles sudden temperature swings without cracking. We also coat the tube to fine-tune the output spectrum and keep the element safe from the environment. And the R7s connector? It’s a straight-line, double-ended design that makes mounting straightforward—so the lamp drops right in where you need it.

Where they shine—and what to keep in mind

These lamps are made for localized heat. Think plastic processing, drying coatings, curing adhesives, and heating forming tools.
