We also pay a lot of attention to the end-caps. Whether you’re using R7s or Sk15 bases, the fit needs to be tight. A loose connection is a disaster waiting to happen. It creates resistance, leads to arcing, and kills the lamp. We also ditch the cheap adhesives in the seals because gas leaks are the fastest way to ruin a filament.
