
Let’s talk about the 1000W Carbon Fiber IR Lamp
We built this 600mm lamp for those moments when you just can’t wait around for things to heat up. If you’re dealing with heavy thermal loads and need heat now, this is the tool for the job. We went with a 220V, 1000W setup for a reason. It hits that sweet spot where you get plenty of power, but it still plugs right into a standard industrial grid. No need to mess around with bulky step-down transformers or rewire your whole shop floor. It just works. Why carbon fiber? Here’s the thing: most people are used to old-school metal coils. But we used carbon fiber filaments instead. The difference is in how the heat moves. Carbon fiber puts out a broader spectrum of infrared radiation, which means the heat actually sinks deeper into your materials, and it does it way faster. Instead of waiting for the surface to warm up and slowly bleed heat inward, you get a rapid ramp-up. It cuts your cycle times down, whether you’re curing a coating or drying a line. Built to take a beating Inside, we’ve got that carbon fiber element tucked into a high-purity quartz tube. We chose quartz because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature swings wildly. It can handle the thermal shock without cracking. And since we aren’t using those thin tungsten wires, you don’t have to worry about the “burn out” that usually happens when you’re flipping the power on and off all day. If you’re replacing an old halogen system, these will slide right in. Just keep in mind that the way they emit heat feels a bit different. Putting it to work (and a word of caution) You’ll mostly see these in PET blowing, paint drying, or plastic welding. The 600mm length is basically the gold standard for conveyor tunnels. But look, a heads-up: 1000W packed into 600mm is a lot of energy. It getshot. Make sure you’re smart about your reflectors and insulation. If your cooling fans are too weak or your ventilation is an afterthought, the heat will build up around the sockets. Over time, that’ll eat away at your wiring, and nobody wants to deal with that. Get your airflow right, and these things will run forever.
