
Let’s talk about the 1260mm 2500W Carbon Fiber IR Tube
If you’ve ever struggled with heating a material only to find the surface is scorched while the middle is still cold, you know the frustration. That’s exactly why we built this lamp. Most shortwave quartz lamps just blast the surface with immediate, intense heat. But this far-infrared (FIR) tube is different. It uses longer wavelengths, which means the heat actually soaks deep into the material rather than just sitting on top. The build and the power At 1260mm long and 2500W, this thing puts out a serious amount of heat. Because it’s so long, the heat spreads out evenly in a straight line. It’s perfect for when you’re curing wide sheets or heating up long industrial parts and can’t afford any cold spots. We swapped out the old-school tungsten for carbon fiber filaments. Why? Because carbon fiber can take the heat without sagging. Long heaters usually fail because the element droops over time, but these stay put. Why carbon fiber actually matters Inside the quartz glass, the carbon fiber element does the heavy lifting. It doesn’t get as blindingly hot on the surface as a halogen tube, but it’s way more efficient at pushing out infrared energy. You get the heat you need without wasting it all on visible light. One quick heads-up: be careful when you’re installing these. They’re tough in some ways, but they hate being dropped. One good shock and the filament will snap. Treat them with a bit of love. Getting it running When you’re wiring this up, make sure your power supply is steady. Voltage spikes are the enemy here—they’ll fry the ends of the filament before you even get started. Also, keep your expectations realistic regarding speed. This isn’t a “flash” cure. It takes a moment to ramp up. But if you need a steady, uniform soak for drying or curing, this is your best bet. And a pro tip: make sure your housing has plenty of ventilation. 2500W is a lot of energy, and your chassis will heat up fast if the air can’t move.
