If you’re running an industrial printing line, you know the drying and curing stage is where things usually get tricky. That’s why we built these 1200W 230V carbon fiber lamps. They don’t work like those old quartz tubes you’re probably used to. Instead of just heating the air, these send infrared radiation straight into the ink or the material itself. It’s a different kind of heat. At 1200W, you get exactly enough punch to flash-dry your inks without accidentally scorching your media. But the real magic is in the carbon fiber. Most metal coils take forever to warm up. Not these. They have way less “thermal lag,” meaning you hit your target temperature in seconds. No more standing around waiting for the machine to get up to speed. We wrap the filaments in a high-purity quartz sleeve. It keeps the carbon from oxidizing—basically stopping it from wearing out—while letting the infrared waves slide right through. And here’s a plus: carbon fiber handles the stress of heating up and cooling down much better than tungsten. It doesn’t just snap when you cycle the power on and off all day. You might notice the surface of the lamp feels cooler than a halogen bulb, but don’t let that fool you. The heat penetrates much deeper. That’s a lifesaver if you’re working with thicker materials. Fitting them into your setup These are designed to be drop-in replacements for your current drying arrays. Just a heads-up: when you’re wiring them in, double-check that your controllers are okay with the specific resistance of carbon fiber. Now, a quick word of caution. While the carbon fiber itself is tough and handles vibration well, that quartz sleeve is still glass. It’s brittle. If your machine shakes a lot or takes a few bumps, please put a guard over the tubes. You don’t want a cracked lamp killing your production. Also, keep an eye on your spacing. Give the lamp and the substrate some breathing room so you don’t overheat your material.
