We didn’t just build another heating element; we swapped out the old-school metal coils for a carbon fiber filament tucked inside a high-purity quartz tube. The difference? It’s all about speed. Heat that actually hits At 1300W over a 600mm stretch, we’ve found a sweet spot. It’s enough power to really penetrate the material you’re heating, but not so much that you’re frying the tube. Because it’s carbon fiber, the ramp-up is almost instant. You flip the switch, and you get an immediate blast of heat. If you’re managing curing or drying lines, that means your cycle times drop. You stop wasting time and start moving product. The “Secret Sauce” in the materials The quartz tube isn’t just there for looks. It does two big jobs: it keeps the carbon filament from oxidizing (which would kill the heater) and it lets short-wave infrared radiation pass right through without getting stuck. Carbon fiber is a bit of a different beast than tungsten. It runs cooler, but it throws out a wider range of infrared energy. We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements. No need to redesign your whole rig. Just a heads-up, though: be gentle with the mounting clips. Use non-marring ones. If you put too much mechanical stress on that quartz glass during install, it’s going to crack. And nobody wants that. A few things to watch out for Here’s the thing about integrating these into your setup. You need a steady power supply. These lamps are pretty sensitive to voltage spikes. If your power is jumping all over the place, you’re going to burn through your filaments way faster than you should. And because carbon fiber is so efficient at dumping heat, it can get crowded in a tight oven. Make sure your cooling fans are up to the task, or your housing might start overheating. One last tip:Keep the quartz clean. If oil or dust builds up on the tube, it creates hot spots. Those hot spots are what cause the glass to shatter. A quick clean goes a long way in making these last.
